Before I wrote my poem, I had to read some poems and analyze. Link provided by Mr. Nollan.

Journey’s End by J. R. R. Tolkien Analysis
The writer talks about the journey’s end on Earth, as it seems like his life is about to end. In the first stanza, he talks about the beautiful earth, and flowers which represent a fruitful life. Elven stars connect the realms of current life and afterlife, which means that he is leading to death. The second stanza talks about death, as he mentions the end of the journey. He talks about a land, possibly Heaven, where he sees the sun and stars forever, unlike day and night, where he has to say goodbye to either one during the day or night.
Journey Home by Rabindranath Tagore
The writer talks about his whole life, as he walked through a lot of hardships before he came to a conclusion. He talked about his whole life, from his birth, where he had to discover the world. He went through many processes, meeting many people, until he found his “innermost shrine”, or perhaps his goal. He felt happy as he found this goal that he had strived to achieve throughout his lifetime.
While I was analyzing, I knew that I had to write based on an experience that I once had. I thought about my first plane ride, to Tokyo, Japan. It was a little bit blurry (because I had ridden a dozen more plane rides since then) but it was still somewhere in my brain. I tried to add a little bit of depth on the details that I remember, to spice up the poem.

Analysis: This is my journey on my first plane ride, which was to Japan. Even though I was curious, I was also scared of riding the plane, but with my parents, it was fine. I was four years old back then, so I never really remembered every single detail. However, I tried to recall as much information as I can from the journey, briefly describing it from beginning to end.
