Journey Poem – Skies

At once I wondered to myself:

“How long can I be there?”

I asked my mom, my dad.

They just responded, “Where?”

I pointed out the window pane,

and said, “Up in the air!”

They never answered me again,

but just had a little stare.

A little boy was ready to soar,

with his mom and dad.

We gave the lady our precious bags,

and dad almost went mad.

We went through the iron gates,

and tip-toed to a stall,

but once we passed the scary stage,

awaits a giant mall.

We boarded on the giant car,

so big, so cold, and so long.

As I looked out the clear glass pane,

I said, “Bye bye, Hong Kong.”

As we took off, the engines roared,

like a thousand lions.

I got so worried on the flight,

that I just started cryin’.

“Don’t worry, dear, we will be there,

So I just took a soothing sleep.

Through my rest, I felt comfort,

and eventually it stopped my weep.

Then I looked outside, it’s so splendid!

We are just about to land!

A couple bumps and a sharp, sudden stop,

Then the pilot said: “Welcome to Japan!”
